GlobalPolicy Partners, a premier policy think tank and international affairs consultancy, is seeking a Diplomacy Analyst to join our Washington, DC team. This role blends rigorous research, strategic communication, and stakeholder engagement to advance high-impact diplomacy initiatives for governments, international organizations, and senior clients.
As a Diplomacy Analyst, you will translate complex geopolitical developments into actionable insights, help design negotiation strategies, and support the execution of multisector engagement plans. You will collaborate with researchers, policy experts, and client teams to deliver timely policy briefs, country risk assessments, and scenario planning exercises.
Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth policy and geopolitical analysis to support negotiation strategies and diplomatic outreach.
- Prepare concise briefing materials, memos, and talking points for senior leadership and client engagements.
- Monitor and synthesize developments in international relations, treaties, and multilateral forums.
- Engage with government officials, international organizations, think tanks, and private sector partners to advance project goals.
- Design and deliver high-impact presentations and workshops for diverse audiences.
- Manage project timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Support crisis communication and risk assessment exercises as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field; master's preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in diplomacy, government affairs, or international policy analysis.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; experience with briefing materials and public speaking.
- Proficiency with data visualization, policy databases, and MS Office; familiarity with GIS is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication abilities; ability to work with global partners.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese) are a plus and welcomed.
