Join a leading think tank focused on international diplomacy and policy impact. This full-time role is based in Washington, DC, offering a dynamic environment for senior policy professionals. You will develop and advance strategic diplomacy initiatives, analyze complex geopolitical developments, and engage a broad network of government, multilateral, and NGO partners.
We seek a results-driven diplomat with exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to drive high-level policy programs and training initiatives.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement diplomacy and international relations strategies to advance organizational goals.
- Conduct policy analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder mapping across governments, multilateral institutions, and NGOs.
- Prepare briefing memos, policy papers, and reports for senior leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with diplomats, think tanks, and multinational organizations.
- Lead negotiation simulations and diplomacy training programs for cross-functional teams.
- Monitor global political developments and provide timely risk intelligence.
- Represent the organization at conferences, roundtables, and official events.
- Manage cross-functional project teams and coordinate with fundraising and communications.
Qualification
- Advanced degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, or international affairs.
- Strong understanding of international law, treaty processes, and multilateral institutions (UN, WTO, EU, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in research methods, data analysis, and policy briefing.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with travel 15-25% of the time.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs or simulations.
