Global Bridges Institute, a leading think tank advancing evidence-based diplomacy, invites a proactive Diplomacy Policy Advisor to join our Washington, DC team. This role blends rigorous policy research with high-stakes stakeholder engagement to shape U.S. and international policy outcomes.
Responsibility
- Lead and oversee research on international policy topics, including security, conflict prevention, and multilateral diplomacy.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and memoranda for senior leadership and external partners.
- Represent the organization in meetings with government agencies, embassies, and international organizations.
- Develop and manage diplomacy projects, partnerships, and program initiatives with think tanks, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Monitor global developments, synthesize findings, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Plan, coordinate, and host high-level meetings, conferences, and delegations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, government affairs, or international organizations.
- Strong research, data analysis, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience with stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and negotiation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Eligibility to obtain security clearance and willingness to travel up to 25%.
