Join the Global Diplomacy Institute, a premier think tank accelerating international cooperation and policy dialogue. We seek a highly capable Diplomacy Policy Advisor to craft actionable recommendations, support government and NGO partners, and shape cross-border engagement strategies.

In this role you will collaborate with diplomats, scholars, and civil society to translate complex geopolitical developments into practical policy guidance and diplomacy programs.

Responsibility

  • Conduct in-depth policy analysis on international relations, security, and multilateral diplomacy to inform senior leadership.
  • Develop briefings, position papers, and talking points for diplomacy engagements, negotiations, and public events.
  • Coordinate stakeholder relationships with government agencies, international organizations, and civil society partners.
  • Design and manage diplomacy-focused research projects, including data collection, synthesis, and recommendations.
  • Monitor geopolitical developments and provide timely risk assessments and opportunity signals.
  • Plan and execute high-level meetings, workshops, and roundtables with international partners.
  • Represent the institute at conferences and in bilateral or multilateral forums as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, transparency, and safety in all diplomacy activities.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Security Studies, or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, or international affairs, ideally with government, NGO, or think-tank roles.
  • Strong understanding of multilateral institutions (UN, EU, NATO) and regional diplomacy dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven negotiation, stakeholder management, and consensus-building abilities.
  • Fluent English; additional languages (French, Dutch, Spanish) are a plus.
  • Experience with project management, research methods, and data visualization tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
