Join CrisisWorks Global as an experienced Director of Crisis Management, leading enterprise-wide readiness and response programs for Fortune 500 clients. This role combines strategy, incident command, stakeholder communications, and resilient operations to minimize disruption during crises.
As a senior practitioner, you will design and implement crisis management governance, run table-top exercises, coordinate cross-functional incident response, and guide executive communications. You will work from our New York City office with flexible hybrid options.
Responsibility
- Lead the development and ongoing governance of the enterprise crisis management program, including playbooks, escalation paths, and governance forums.
- Direct incident command and cross-functional response coordination during crises, ensuring rapid containment and clear escalation to executives.
- Design, execute, and refine crisis simulations and training programs for executives and operations teams to sustain preparedness.
- Advise on business continuity, risk assessment, and contingency planning to minimize operational disruption.
- Maintain trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, delivering timely, accurate crisis communications and status updates.
- Lead after-action reviews, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives to close gaps and strengthen resilience.
- Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor readiness, response performance, and program impact.
Qualification
- 8+ years in crisis management, incident response, emergency management, or business continuity, with a track record of handling large-scale events.
- Proven ability to lead incident response for enterprise clients, with experience in crisis communications and executive briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, emergency management, public administration, or related field; master’s preferred.
- Certifications such as FEMA ICS-100/200/300/400, CBCP, CCEP, or CISM/CBA are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, decision-making under pressure, and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information for executives and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 20% as needed and operate in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
