As Director of Crisis Management, you will design, implement, and lead incident response programs, ensure business continuity, and guide stakeholders through complex crises. You will collaborate with C-suite leaders, risk, security, operations, and communications teams to minimize impact and accelerate recovery.
Responsibility
- Lead enterprise crisis management planning, incident response, and business continuity programs across global operations.
- Develop and exercise crisis management playbooks, recovery strategies, and communication protocols.
- Coordinate cross functional response teams during incidents, including security, IT, facilities, and communications.
- Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and resilience metrics; report to executive leadership.
- Manage external partners, regulators, and media relations during high stakes events.
- Mentor and build high performance crisis management practitioners and coordinate training and tabletop exercises.
- Lead post incident reviews, root cause analysis, and lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
Qualification
- 10+ years in crisis management, incident response, business continuity, or risk management for large organizations.
- Proven track record leading crisis management programs for global enterprises and complex operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to translate technical risk into actionable guidance for executives.
- Experience with incident command systems, emergency management, or ISO 22301 preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced certification (CEM, CMP, CBCP) preferred.
- Travel up to 25% may be required; flexible schedule for global incidents.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and decision making under pressure.
