Join Aegis Risk Solutions as Director of Crisis Management, leading enterprise-wide response programs and strategic resilience initiatives. You will design and oversee crisis playbooks, mobilize cross-functional incident command, and guide executive communications during high-stakes events.
This is a high-impact leadership role partnering with ESG, Legal, Security, and Operations to protect people, assets, and brand reputation. We seek a proactive leader with deep experience in crisis management, crisis communications, business continuity, and risk assessment within regulated environments.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise crisis management program, including incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and continuity planning.
- Lead the incident command structure for major events, coordinating across functions (Operations, Legal, IT, Security, Communications) and reporting to executive leadership.
- Develop crisis communications playbooks and messaging frameworks; oversee internal and external communications, media relations, and regulatory notifications during incidents.
- Conduct risk assessment, scenario planning, drills, and tabletop exercises to validate readiness and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee training programs, certifications, and mentoring for a high-performing crisis management team and cross-functional partners.
- Manage relationships with regulators, customers, partners, and media; provide timely, accurate updates and executive briefings during crises.
- Lead post-incident reviews, root-cause analyses, remediation planning, and metrics tracking to demonstrate program maturity and resilience.
Qualification
- 15+ years in crisis management, incident response, business continuity, or related risk disciplines; track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder responses.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis communications, executive messaging, media relations, and stakeholder engagement under deadline pressure.
- Strong knowledge of incident command systems (ICS) and business continuity standards (ISO 22301, NFPA 1600) and regulatory considerations.
- Excellent project management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Communications, or MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, CEM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Data-driven decision making, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency with risk and resilience tools; comfort with executive-level reporting.
- Willingness to travel up to 25-30% and adapt to fast-changing, high-stakes environments.
