Job description

As the Director of Crisis Management at Aegis Resilience Group, you will lead enterprise-wide strategies to anticipate, respond to, and recover from crises while safeguarding people, operations, and reputation across our client base in the United States and beyond.

In this senior role, you will partner with executive leadership to design resilient programs, drive a culture of preparedness, and coordinate cross-functional response during high-stakes events.

Key outcomes include reducing recovery time, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining stakeholder trust through transparent and timely communications.

Responsibility

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and testing of the organization's crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Design and execute tabletop exercises and live drills with cross functional teams to validate readiness and identify gaps.
  • Oversee incident response coordination during crises, ensuring rapid decision making, accurate information gathering, and clear escalation paths.
  • Drive crisis communications strategies, including executive briefings, media coordination, and stakeholder updates.
  • Partner with Security, IT, Operations, Legal, and HR to align risk controls and recovery objectives across the enterprise.
  • Monitor evolving threat landscapes and regulatory requirements to continuously improve the resilience program.
  • Build and mentor a high performing crisis management team; manage budgets, tools, and vendor relationships.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in crisis management, incident response, or business continuity with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record leading incident response across complex, multi site organizations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to brief senior leaders and diverse audiences.
  • Strong expertise in risk assessment, continuity planning, disaster recovery, and tabletop exercise design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to privacy, data protection, and incident reporting.
  • Project management skills and experience coordinating cross functional teams; strong stakeholder management.
  • Professional certifications such as CBCP, CPM, or CISSP are a plus.
