GlobalResilience Partners is seeking a seasoned Director of Crisis Management to lead our enterprise-wide crisis readiness and response engagements. The successful candidate will partner with C-suite executives to design resilient strategies, develop playbooks, run simulations, and guide communication during crises. This role offers an opportunity to shape enterprise resilience for clients across sectors, including finance, healthcare, technology, and energy.
As a key member of the Risk & Continuity team, you will drive cross-functional initiatives, align crisis protocols with business objectives, and mentor a growing team of consultants and analysts. This is a high-visibility role requiring strategic judgment, advanced risk analysis, and a proven track record of effective crisis leadership.
What you will do is build, test, and refine crisis response capabilities that minimize disruption, protect people, and preserve brand trust. You will work with global clients to accelerate recovery and instill a culture of preparedness at all organizational levels.
Responsibility
- Develop and lead enterprise crisis management programs, incident command structures, and recovery playbooks across client portfolios.
- Coordinate rapid risk assessment and decision support during incidents; align cross-functional response with executives, operations, and communications.
- Oversee internal and external crisis communications, including executive messaging, media coordination, and regulatory liaison as needed.
- Design and conduct tabletop exercises and live drills to validate readiness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure business continuity plans are integrated with IT disaster recovery, facilities, and supply chain resilience.
- Define metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track risk trends, lessons learned, and progress against action plans for C-suite audiences.
- Lead and mentor the crisis management team and manage relationships with external partners and consultants during major events.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Management, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of crisis management, incident response, or business continuity experience in corporate or advisory settings.
- CIRM/CBCP/MBCP or equivalent certification; emergency management or ICS certifications are a plus.
- Proven track record leading crisis response to high-profile events with demonstrated impact on safety, assets, and reputation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for executives and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence across functions; comfortable engaging with regulators, clients, and media under pressure.
- Proficiency with crisis management software, risk dashboards, data analytics, and scenario planning tools.
