Prestia Health Systems is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Hospital Administration to lead operational excellence across our hospital network. This executive role oversees patient flow, regulatory compliance, finance, human resources, information technology, facilities, and quality/safety initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of improving efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial performance in a complex hospital setting. This role collaborates with medical staff, executive leadership, and community partners to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Location: San Diego, CA with on-site presence required at our main campus.
Responsibility
- Provide strategic leadership to hospital operations, setting vision and aligning departments to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
- Lead the development and execution of operational plans, staffing models, and performance metrics across patient services, support functions, and clinical departments.
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, revenue cycle management, procurement, and cost optimization to meet annual targets.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, HIPAA, CMS, state regulations, and participate in accreditation processes; drive quality and safety initiatives.
- Direct human resources, information technology, facilities, supply chain, and ancillary services to optimize efficiency and patient experience.
- Collaborate with medical staff and executive leaders to implement quality improvement programs, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
- Lead data-driven decision making through dashboards, analytics, and process improvement methodologies; champion digital transformation when appropriate.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA), Public Health, or related field; doctoral degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive hospital management experience in large inpatient settings; demonstrable leadership in multi-department operations.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance, patient satisfaction, and financial results.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (Joint Commission, HIPAA, EMTALA) and accreditation processes; familiarity with CMS guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare IT governance; capability to lead IT-enabled improvements.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability; willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours as required.
