Pacific Crest Health System is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Hospital Administration to lead operational excellence across our Los Angeles campus. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for medical staff coordination, patient experience, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will partner with executive leadership to develop and execute a multi-year operations plan that aligns with clinical goals and community needs. You will oversee departments including patient services, facilities, IT systems, scheduling, and workforce planning, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Responsibility

  • Lead hospital operations to deliver safe, high-quality patient care while optimizing throughput and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with clinical goals, community needs, and financial targets.
  • Oversee patient experience programs, service recovery, and physician/stakeholder engagement to improve satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and vendor negotiations to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, HIPAA, CMS, and state requirements through proactive audits and quality initiatives.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives using data analytics, benchmarks, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Partner with IT and clinical leadership to optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling, and care coordination workflows.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing administrative team while fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related field (MHA, MBA with healthcare focus, or CHE preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital administration or health system operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and capital projects.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record in regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and CMS requirements; experience with EPIC or major EHR systems.
  • Change management and people leadership capabilities with a focus on culture building and talent development.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, translate insights into strategy, and influence at the executive level.
