Job description

MetroCare Health Systems is seeking a strategic and operationally oriented Director of Hospital Administration to oversee day-to-day hospital operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive initiatives that improve patient care and financial performance.

As a senior leader, you will partner with clinical leaders to optimize workflows, manage budgets, and implement policies that align with our mission to deliver safe, high quality care.

In this role, you will champion patient safety, enhance patient experience, and lead cross functional teams through complex initiatives in a fast paced environment.

Responsibility

  • Oversee hospital operations across clinical and non clinical departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality patient care.
  • Lead budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maximize value and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, compliance plans, and performance metrics aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in collaboration with clinical leadership.
  • Lead talent management, succession planning, and interdisciplinary team development.
  • Partner with IT and clinical leaders to optimize electronic health record usage and data analytics for decision making.
  • Represent the hospital with external partners, accrediting bodies, and community stakeholders.

Qualification

  • Master of Health Administration or MBA with a healthcare focus; other related advanced degree considered.
  • 7–10 years of comprehensive hospital administration or healthcare operations experience.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • In depth knowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership, change management, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with electronic health records (preferably Epic), data analytics, and performance metrics.
