Job description

We are a market-leading organization seeking a strategic Director of Organizational Development to accelerate people, culture, and performance initiatives across the enterprise. This role partners with executives to shape the future of work, build leadership capability, and optimize organizational effectiveness in a fast-paced environment in New York City.

As the Director of Organizational Development, you will design and execute enterprise-wide OD strategies, lead large-scale change programs, and collaborate with HR and business leaders to translate strategy into practical capability improvements. You will mentor OD practitioners, scale development programs, and drive data-driven improvements that unlock organizational potential.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design and execution of organization development strategies to improve performance, culture, and employee engagement across the enterprise.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to diagnose organizational effectiveness, redesign structure, roles, and processes as needed.
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs to ensure leadership continuity and a strong pipeline.
  • Develop and implement change management frameworks for large-scale initiatives, including communication plans and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate executive coaching, team effectiveness sessions, and leadership development workshops.
  • Build and measure learning and development programs using analytics to demonstrate impact on business outcomes.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive leadership initiatives and unbiased talent practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred in Organization Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of OD, organizational effectiveness, change management, or culture transformation experience in large or matrixed organizations.
  • Proven track record delivering leadership development programs, organizational design initiatives, and culture change at scale.
  • Strong data-driven approach with experience measuring outcomes using OD analytics and dashboards.
  • Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience with HRIS/LMS tools and project management methods; Prosci or similar change management certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate strategy into practical capability improvements.
