Responsibility
- Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of advanced thin film deposition processes for next-generation NAND technologies.
- Drive process innovation initiatives to enable industry-first breakthroughs in film performance and device integration.
- Act as the technical authority and mentor for global cross-functional teams, promoting knowledge transfer and technical excellence.
- Design and execute complex experiments, analyze process and device data, and provide actionable insights to improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with equipment vendors and R&D partners to evaluate and implement new materials and deposition techniques.
- Present technical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and contribute to technical roadmaps.
- File collaborative and individual patents, publish high-impact research papers, and represent Micron in industry forums and conferences.
- Ensure all processes align with industry standards for safety, environmental compliance, and best engineering practices.
Qualification
- PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields.
- 10+ years’ relevant experience in advanced thin film process development within the semiconductor industry, with an emphasis on NAND, DRAM, or logic technology.
- Proven record of innovative research and successful technology transfer into high-volume production.
- Deep understanding of thin film deposition processes (CVD, ALD, PVD, etc.) and associated analytical characterization techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in DOE and process modeling.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences and presenting at technical conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
