Job description
Distinguished Member of Technical Staff – Process Development, Wet, NAND
Micron Singapore is seeking a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff DMTS to lead and advance wet process development for NAND memory fabrication. This senior technical leadership role combines deep process knowledge with strategic influence to shape memory process technology, accelerate innovations, and deliver robust, scalable fabrication steps that meet performance, yield, and reliability goals.
You will own process development roadmaps, design and execute exploratory and confirmatory experiments, and drive trouble shooting across lab, pilot, and manufacturing environments. Collaborating with equipment vendors, process integration, and product engineering teams, you will translate lab breakthroughs into production capability, optimize process windows, and implement data driven control strategies. A strong emphasis on DOE, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement will be essential as you mentor engineers, share best practices, and influence cross functional decisions at the highest levels.
In this role you will lead a global team of engineers and scientists, shaping our process strategy and ensuring compliant, safe, and efficient operations. You will partner with manufacturing to scale solutions from R&D to production, define metrics, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Micron's memory roadmap.
At Micron, we are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability. If you are a seasoned technical leader with a passion for wet process physics and NAND manufacturing, we want to hear from you.
Responsibility
- Lead development and optimization of wet process steps for NAND memory fabrication, including defining process windows, recipe optimization, tool qualification, and integration with hardware.
- Design and execute DOE studies to identify critical variables, quantify effects on yield and reliability, and implement robust process controls.
- Scale processes from laboratory proofs of concept to pilot lines and full production, coordinating with equipment vendors, process integration, and manufacturing teams.
- Develop and implement yield improvement strategies, defect reduction plans, and statistical process control methods to achieve target metrics.
- Document processes, create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and training readiness.
- Mentor and grow a high-performance wet process development team, sharing best practices and driving career development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including equipment suppliers, manufacturing, reliability, and product engineering to align process development with product roadmaps.
Qualification
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred, MS acceptable) in chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline with 12+ years in semiconductor process development, ideally in NAND memory.
- Proven track record leading wet process development and scale-up in memory fabrication; strong experience with DOE, SPC, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Hands-on experience with lab-to-fab technology transfer, pilot line scaling, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to influence at senior levels and mentor junior engineers.
- Familiarity with safety, environmental, and cleanroom standards; knowledge of process controls and yield optimization.
- Publications or patents in relevant areas are a plus.
