We are seeking an Education Content Designer to craft engaging, standards-aligned online courses for diverse learners. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, designers, and instructors to translate complex topics into accessible curricula that drive outcomes.
In this role, you will shape course structure, contribute to assessment design, curate multimedia resources, and ensure accessibility and quality across all modules. The ideal candidate blends instructional design expertise with a passion for student success and a data-informed approach to improve curricula.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end course design from goals to assessment, ensuring alignment with learning standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and translate it into engaging, modular online lessons.
- Develop and quality-check multimedia assets (videos, graphics, simulations) for accessibility.
- Design authentic assessments and learning activities that measure mastery and progress.
- Apply instructional design best practices and analyze analytics to optimize learning experiences.
- Champion inclusive design and ensure content is accessible for diverse learners.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field; master's preferred.
- 3+ years of experience designing online courses or curricula for K-12 or higher education.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and assessment design.
- Proficiency with LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, or similar) and authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
- Data-driven mindset with ability to use analytics to improve content.
