Job description

NovaTech Dynamics is hiring a talented Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX to design, analyze, and deploy advanced electrical systems across embedded, analog, and power domains.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust hardware and verification plans, contribute to architecture decisions, and deliver high-quality documentation and test results. This role offers the opportunity to influence next-generation products in aerospace, industrial automation, or automotive sectors.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end electrical design for analog and digital circuits, power electronics, signal conditioning, EMI/EMC, and protection.
  • Develop and validate schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or similar tools.
  • Perform simulations (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) to verify performance and reliability.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, test plans, and compliance artifacts.
  • Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration and system-level validation.
  • Plan and execute board bring-up, debugging, and hardware verification activities.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations (UL, IEC, ISO 9001).
  • Mentor junior engineers and support manufacturing with DFx guidance.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in electrical design, with hands-on PCB layout and debugging.
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, or similar).
  • Experience with FPGA and embedded software (VHDL/Verilog, C/C++).
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, analog/digital circuits, EMI/EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and validation.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) and DFMEA.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (UL, IEC, ISO 9001) and design for manufacturability.
