EnergiaTech Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our growing Houston team. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that combines advanced engineering with hands-on leadership across utilities, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
You will own the design, analysis, and commissioning of electrical power systems, from MV/LV distribution and protection coordination to reliability-centered maintenance and grid interconnection studies.

Responsibility
- Lead the design of MV/LV power distribution, switchgear, protective relays, and control systems for industrial, utility, and renewable projects.
- Perform load-flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash analyses using ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and PSS/E.
- Develop and review project specifications, drawings, single-line diagrams, cable routing, and commissioning plans.
- Manage multi-discipline project teams, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with utilities, EPCs, and clients for interconnection studies and grid integration.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NERC CIP, and relevant local standards; promote safety and quality.
- Support business development through technical proposals, client presentations, and value engineering.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6-12 months
- 7+ years of experience in electrical power systems design, with HV/MV exposure
- Expertise with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E, and related software
- Strong knowledge of protection coordination, relay settings, arc flash analysis, and standards
- Experience with grid interconnection studies and renewable integration
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-management skills
