At AmpNova Technologies, we design advanced electrical systems for automation and energy management. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced R&D and delivery teams in Austin, TX. You will lead end-to-end electrical design, drive simulation, testing, and validation, and collaborate with mechanical and software teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibility
- Lead electrical system design from concept to production for multiple product lines.
- Develop and review schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD tools.
- Design power electronics, control circuits, and motor drive solutions with robust reliability.
- Conduct simulations (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) and perform worst-case analysis.
- Plan and execute hardware-in-the-loop testing, validation, and compliance testing.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
- Mentor junior engineers and support design reviews and documentation deliverables.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation or energy systems.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and PCB design.
- Experience with power electronics, motor drives, PLCs, and control systems.
- Familiarity with standards IEC 61000-4-6, UL 508A, IEC 61800-5-1, and EMC/EMI testing.
- Hands-on prototyping, debugging, and hardware validation; strong documentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
