Job description

VoltEdge Technologies is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on designing, analyzing, and validating power electronics, analog/digital circuits, and embedded control systems for industrial and automotive applications.

Responsibility

  • Design and develop power electronics, analog/digital circuits, and embedded control systems for new product lines.
  • Analyze, simulate, and verify designs using SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and PCB CAD tools.
  • Lead hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and fault isolation across lab and field environments.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test teams to define requirements and validation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory standards; drive design for manufacturability.
  • Own component selection, supplier interactions, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop documentation, test methods, and performance metrics for product validation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical or related field with a focus on power electronics or embedded systems
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics, analog/digital circuit design, and EMC/EMI considerations
  • Proficiency with PCB layout (Altium or similar), SPICE simulations, and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Strong understanding of control theory, sensors, actuators, and feedback systems
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators) and debugging hardware
  • Familiarity with safety standards (UL, IEC) and regulatory compliance processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; ability to work across disciplines
  • U.S. work authorization; ability to occasionally travel for field testing
