Job description
Join Bruker Corporation, a global leader in analytical instrumentation, and help advance scientific discovery by powering our next generation of high-precision electronic systems. We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer to join the R&D Engineering department in Penang, Malaysia. In this role you will contribute to the end-to-end development of sophisticated hardware that couples with software to deliver reliable performance in demanding environments. You will own critical subsystems from concept through validation, qualification, and production, ensuring specifications meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives on problem solving, hands-on experimentation, and collaboration with fellow engineers, product managers, and suppliers.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will design and test analog and digital circuits, select components with EMI, power, and thermal constraints in mind, and create robust firmware to support instrument control. You will build and maintain test rigs, perform rigorous measurement and verification, and analyze data to inform design iterations. You will work closely with mechanical engineers on enclosure and cabling, collaborate with software engineers on embedded interfaces, and coordinate with manufacturing to ensure scalable production. Your work will directly impact instrument reliability and user experience across our global customer base.
Bruker offers a culture of continuous learning, competitive compensation, and opportunities for career growth. You will engage in design reviews, risk assessments, and documentation practices that reinforce best-in-class engineering. We provide access to training, mentorship, and cutting-edge tools to help you stay at the forefront of technology. If you are motivated to turn ideas into tangible, field-ready solutions and enjoy translating complex requirements into practical designs, we want to hear from you.
Requirements for this role include a solid foundation in electrical engineering, hands-on hardware experience, and strong communication skills. This position is based in Penang with opportunities for regional collaboration and travel as needed.
