Responsibility
- Lead design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for industrial and utility-scale projects.
- Perform protective relay coordination studies and protection scheme development using ETAP/PSCAD/SKM.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, motor control centers, switchgear layouts, and cable schedules.
- Conduct short-circuit, load flow, harmonic, and transient analyses to ensure reliability and resilience.
- Support commissioning, FATs, and field testing; troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70, IEEE standards, and client-specific safety requirements.
- Collaborate with utilities, engineering teams, and procurement to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design and analysis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or eligible in Texas.
- Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, SKM or similar software; experience with protection coordination.
- Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, IEEE standards, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Travel up to 15-20% for field visits and project support.
