GridWave Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer to join our growing team in Houston. You will design, analyze, and optimize electrical power systems for utility-scale projects, substations, and renewable integration. This is a hands-on role with opportunity to lead systems engineering efforts from concept to commissioning.

Responsibility
- Lead the design and analysis of electrical power systems for industrial, utility-scale, or renewable projects, including protection, control, and automation schemes.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and transient analyses using ETAP, PSS/E, or DIgSILENT.
- Develop and review protection and coordination schemes for substations and switchyards.
- Coordinate with civil/structural, instrumentation, and commissioning teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for procurement and construction.
- Support field commissioning, testing, and performance verification of installed systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, codes (NEC, IEC), and grid interconnection requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and support business development with technical proposals.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems, substations, or renewable integration.
- Strong proficiency with power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT, SKM).
- Knowledge of protection relays, SCADA, substation design, and HV/LV switchgear.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEC 61850, NERC CIP standards, and interconnection processes.
- Excellent communication, project management, and collaborative skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
