We are seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize high- reliability power networks, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions from concept through commissioning. You will leverage industry-standard tools to model load flows, perform protective relay settings, and validate performance under dynamic conditions. Responsibility
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for industrial and utility-scale projects.
- Develop and validate models (load flow, short-circuit, coordination) using ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, or DIgSILENT.
- Specify and supervise protection relay schemes, breakers, and switchgear, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and controls teams to ensure seamless integration and commissioning.
- Prepare technical documentation, risk assessments, and commissioning plans in compliance with NFPA, IEEE, and local standards.
- Support procurement, vendor selection, and site field tests; lead commissioning and start-up activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred; licensed PE is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical power systems design, analysis, and protection for industrial or utility projects.
- Strong proficiency with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or similar software; familiarity with SCADA integration is a plus.
- Solid understanding of NFPA 70/NEC, IEEE standards, and local electrical codes.
- Demonstrated project leadership, client communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required and to collaborate with global teams.
