Join our leading energy team as an Electrical Power Engineer, focusing on designing and optimizing electrical power systems for industrial installations and grid-scale projects. Responsibility
- Lead the design and analysis of power distribution and transmission systems, including load flow, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination.
- Develop and review electrical one-line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment specifications, and interconnection studies.
- Perform protection and control design, relay settings, and SCADA integration for automated systems.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful delivery and hands-on field support.
- Support grid interconnection studies and utility approvals for new facilities and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE standards, and local codes; contribute to safety and quality programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering for utility-scale or industrial facilities.
- Proficiency with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, PSCAD) and design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
- Strong knowledge of protection & control, SCADA, PLCs, and automation integration.
- Familiarity with standards such as NEC, IEEE 80/141, and NERC CIP; ability to apply to design and field activities.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; proven ability to manage projects and coordinate teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
