NovaLabs Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our fast-growing team in Austin, Texas. This hands-on position focuses on testing, assembly, debugging, and repair of complex electronic systems used in consumer and industrial applications.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and Manufacturing to ensure product reliability, performance, and quality across the lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians looking to grow their hands-on experience with cutting-edge electronics in a dynamic environment.
Responsibility
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and assemblies, including PCBs.
- Perform calibration, functional testing, and diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs; ensure correct component placement and soldering to IPC standards.
- Conduct in-circuit and functional testing; document test results and escalate anomalies.
- Assist with prototype iterations and design reviews with Engineering.
- Support manufacturing with troubleshooting and process improvements to reduce waste and cycle time.
- Maintain clean, organized workstation and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment; participate in preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum 2 years of electronics assembly, testing, or repair in a production or lab setting.
- Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuits, schematics, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience using test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and PCB testing.
- Proficiency with soldering (lead-free) and familiarity with IPC standards (IPC J-STD-001, IPC 610) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; ability to document results clearly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; able to follow procedures and work instructions.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or on-call coverage as needed.
