BrightWave Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our expanding team in Austin, TX. You will troubleshoot, assemble, and test complex electronic assemblies and instrumentation, ensuring quality and reliability across our product lines. Responsibility
- Assemble, solder, and inspect PCB assemblies in accordance with IPC standards.
- Troubleshoot electronic hardware using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
- Calibrate and test electronic systems to verify performance criteria.
- Document test results and maintain accurate build and test records.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to address non-conforming parts.
- Maintain lab equipment, calibration schedules, and safety protocols.
- Assist in creating and updating standard work instructions and procedures.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in electronics preferred.
- 2+ years experience as an electronics technician in manufacturing or repair environments.
- Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and soldering equipment.
- Knowledge of IPC soldering standards and ESD control practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials; familiarity with PLCs a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast paced environment.
