BrightCircuit Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Austin, TX. You will work on high-precision electronics for robotics and automation systems, performing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting with a strong focus on quality and reliability. In this role, you will contribute to the design-for-test process, assist with calibration, and help maintain our state-of-the-art test benches and production cells. We value initiative, safety, and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibility
- Assemble, solder, and test electronic components and PCBs according to established procedures.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials to ensure correct assembly.
- Calibrate instruments and test equipment; document results in the ERP system.
- Troubleshoot and repair boards to component level; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support production with process improvements and first-pass yield optimization.
- Maintain an organized, ESD-safe workspace; follow safety and quality standards (IPC, OSHA).
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of test data and inventory.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent practical experience (2+ years).
- Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and soldering equipment.
- Experience with PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole) and knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Strong ability to read schematics and diagnose fault conditions; solid troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with calibration, testing methods, and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to document work clearly in ERP/PLM systems.
