Job description

NovaTech Electronics is hiring an Electronics Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in San Jose, CA. You will assemble, test, and repair electronic assemblies used in our high-performance products. This role emphasizes hands-on work with PCBs, wiring, components, and calibration in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

What you’ll do: support engineering through rigorous debugging, documentation, and process improvement; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality; maintain equipment and test rigs; adhere to ESD and safety procedures; and contribute to on-time manufacturing goals.

Responsibility

  • Assemble, solder, and wire electronic components and PCB assemblies following engineering drawings and IPC standards.
  • Test and troubleshoot circuits using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other precision equipment.
  • Perform PCB rework and component replacement with precision and care.
  • Calibrate test rigs and instrumentation to verify performance against specifications.
  • Document test results, non-conformances, and changes in the ERP/MES system.
  • Support production lines with troubleshooting and process improvements with the engineering team.
  • Adhere to safety, ESD, and quality procedures; participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or AS in Electronics preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, debugging, and testing.
  • Proficiency with DMM, oscilloscope, and signal generators; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Soldering experience and IPC-related certifications widely preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work from schematics and BOMs; attention to detail and quality.
  • Comfort with lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods; good manual dexterity.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills; reliable and punctual.
