NovaTech Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our fast-growing production team in Austin, Texas. You will diagnose, repair, test, and calibrate electronic assemblies used in industrial automation. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure product reliability from prototype through production. You will use measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate circuits and assemblies.
Responsibility
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts to assemble and repair electronic boards.
- Test and validate functionality using diagnostic tools and calibration equipment.
- Perform PCB soldering, inspection, and rework following IPC standards.
- Diagnose faults, isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with incoming, in-process, and final QA testing and documentation.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate work logs for traceability.
- Support production engineers in new product introductions and pilot runs.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of electronics assembly, testing, or repair experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
- Proficiency with measurement tools: multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, signal generators.
- Strong soldering skills and knowledge of soldering standards (IPC); familiarity with ESD safety.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and PCB layouts.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and documentation habits.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new products and processes.
