NovaWave Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our manufacturing team in Austin, TX. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring product quality and process efficiency. Responsibility
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronics assemblies and PCBs to meet quality standards.
- Perform functional, in-circuit, and environmental testing using standard test equipment.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs to guide assembly and repair.
- Calibrate test jigs and fixtures; assist with metrology and calibration records.
- Diagnose hardware faults, document issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to ESD, safety, and quality processes; maintain clean, organized workstations.
- Assist with rework and repair activities as needed to meet production schedules.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in electronics preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on electronics assembly and testing experience; PCB knowledge required.
- Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and engineering drawings; familiarity with IPC standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with SMT assembly, rework, and soldering techniques preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; occasional overtime may be required.
