Responsibility
- Assemble, test, and repair electronic assemblies and subassemblies to meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials to guide assembly and troubleshooting.
- Perform functional, environmental, and burn-in testing using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in ERP/PLM systems for test results, rework notes, and change requests.
- Uphold ESD control and safe handling of delicate components; adhere to cleanroom and safety protocols as required.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and manufacturability enhancements.
Qualification
- 2+ years hands-on experience as an electronics technician, assembler, or repair technician in electronics manufacturing.
- Diploma or Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with soldering (through-hole and surface mount), rework stations, and proper ESD practices.
- Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and layout drawings; familiarity with IPC standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and good communication.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin and lift up to 40 lbs; U.S. work authorization required.
