NovaCircuit Technologies is a leading electronics manufacturer delivering precision solutions to industrial customers. We are looking for a skilled Electronics Technician to join our Austin-based team. In this hands-on role you will diagnose, assemble, test, and calibrate electronic assemblies, PCB boards, and subsystems according to engineering drawings and quality procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate with hardware engineers and production staff to ensure reliability, traceability, and on-time delivery of complex products. This role offers growth opportunities in test engineering, calibration, and process improvement.
Responsibility
- Assemble, solder, inspect, and test electronic assemblies and PCBs following engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Operate and maintain test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers) to verify circuit functionality.
- Diagnose hardware issues, document root causes, and implement corrective actions with clear notes in the ERP/MES system.
- Calibrate devices to meet specified tolerances and environmental requirements.
- Adhere to IPC soldering standards and ESD control procedures; maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability improvements and failure analysis.
- Support production lines during high-demand periods and assist with new product introductions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for BOM, test procedures, and quality records.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical associate degree or certifications in electronics preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with electronics assembly, testing, and repair.
- Strong reading of schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
- Proficiency with test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and soldering (lead-free, rework).
- Knowledge of IPC soldering standards and ESD control practices.
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with good time management and adaptability.
- Willingness to lift up to 40 lbs and work standing for extended periods.
