NovaTech Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our fast-growing product engineering team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will assemble, test, calibrate, and repair electronic assemblies and PCBs for our expanding line of consumer and industrial products. You’ll work with a modern lab, utilize precision test equipment, and collaborate with design and production teams to ensure performance and reliability.

Responsibility
- Assemble, solder, and populate PCB assemblies according to approved schematics and IPC guidelines.
- Test and diagnose electronics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other lab equipment; document results.
- Perform functional and environmental testing, calibration, and verification of assemblies to meet specifications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair defects in components, boards, and subassemblies; work with suppliers as needed.
- Assist with hardware qualification, documentation, and ECO implementation with the engineering team.
- Maintain meticulous lab safety standards, ESD practices, and a clean working environment.
- Support production line operations, including troubleshooting on the floor, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with electronics assembly, testing, and repair in a manufacturing or lab setting.
- Strong soldering skills (SMT and through-hole) and familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience reading schematics and wiring diagrams; ability to troubleshoot to component level.
- Proficiency with test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator) and data recording.
- Ability to document work clearly and maintain organized test records; basic problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement; eligible to work in the US.
