Join NovaTek Electronics as an Electronics Technician in San Jose, CA. This role supports the assembly, testing, calibration, and repair of electronic systems used in our advanced products. Responsibility
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies and systems to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Perform functional and reliability testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other diagnostic tools.
- Assist in calibration, alignment, and verification of sensors, controllers, and wiring harnesses.
- Document test results, deviations, and corrective actions in the QA system with accurate traceability.
- Support PCB inspection, soldering to IPC standards, and ESD-safe handling of components.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to isolate root causes and implement improvements to processes and fixtures.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental policies while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on electronics technician experience or equivalent in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals (analyzing circuits, schematics, and datasheets).
- Experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers).
- Familiarity with PCB troubleshooting, soldering, and IPC soldering standards; basic familiarity with ESD controls.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams; exposure to CAD/EDA tools is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and precise documentation skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and time-management abilities; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
