AscendTech Solutions is seeking a dynamic Employee Training Lead to join our expanding Learning & Development team in Chicago, IL. You will design, deliver, and optimize training programs that empower employees across the organization to perform at their best.
As a senior contributor, you will partner with HR, department leaders, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, develop scalable curricula, and implement modern instructional strategies including eLearning, microlearning, and instructor-led sessions. You will own the creation and management of engaging learning experiences that drive performance, engagement and retention.
Responsibilities include designing onboarding programs, leadership development, technical skills training, soft skills coaching, and ensuring programs are measurable and aligned with business outcomes.

Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable training programs for onboarding, leadership development, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Assess learning needs through surveys, performance data, and stakeholder interviews; translate findings into actionable curricula.
- Develop and maintain engaging eLearning modules, instructor-led sessions, microlearning, job aids, and assessments.
- Partner with HR, department heads, and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and business relevance.
- Manage the learning management system, classify content, assign tracks, and track completion and outcomes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics, ROI, and post-training surveys; iterate programs based on data.
- Facilitate live workshops and coaching sessions with strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive training playbook and standardized templates for consistency across teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of corporate training or learning and development experience.
- Proven experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone) and authoring tools.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose learning needs, design solutions, and measure impact with data.
- Project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in Chicago on-site or hybrid; remote flexibility considered.
