Job description
Join Micron Semiconductors in Singapore as an Engineer for F10 Probe Manufacturing. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to resolve complex challenges in probe equipment, tooling, and process workflows, accelerating throughput while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic problem solving, leveraging data-driven insights and AI to optimize operations across the factory floor.
In this role, you will own the reliability and performance of F10 probe equipment, coordinate with process engineers, equipment vendors, and maintenance teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will analyze equipment data, implement preventive maintenance plans, and champion safety and compliance in a fast paced semiconductors environment. You will also supervise installation, qualification, and commissioning activities for new tooling and automation projects.
We are seeking a proactive engineer who excels at cross functional collaboration, leadership, and problem solving. You should have a strong foundation in electrical, mechanical, or materials science engineering, with experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test, or metrology. If you enjoy turning complex data into actionable improvements and feel excited by AI enabled optimization, this is your opportunity to impact production efficiency and product quality at Micron Semiconductors.
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team to resolve complex F10 probe equipment and workflow challenges, delivering measurable uptime and output gains.
- Apply data analytics and AI-driven optimization to monitor, predict, and improve equipment performance and process throughput.
- Own preventive maintenance plans, calibration, and reliability improvements for all F10 probe stations and related tooling.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Equipment Vendors to plan, test, and implement equipment upgrades and automation projects.
- Troubleshoot escalated equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions with documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ESH standards; maintain accurate documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Lead capital projects, change control, and qualification activities for new tooling and process improvements; drive cost-efficiency and yield improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (uptime, MTBF, cycle time, defect rates) and provide regular reports to leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
- 3-7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or test/measurement environments, with preference for probe stations and metrology.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; familiarity with data analytics tools and scripting; knowledge of AI/ML applications in manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to document procedures and present findings to management.
- Eligible to work in Singapore (citizenship/residency or valid work permit).
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards (ISO, TPM/5S, ESH).
