Parañaque Doctors' Hospital is seeking a seasoned Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead our facilities operations and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective building services across the campus. This role demands strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and a strong commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
As the Engineering & Facilities Manager, you will develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all hospital facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will drive asset preservation, monitor system performance, and coordinate with clinical teams to minimize downtime and disruption to patient care.
You will lead a team of engineers, facilities technicians, and trusted contractors, setting clear expectations for safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Your responsibilities will include budget planning, procurement, vendor management, and performance analytics to ensure the highest standards of facility reliability and cost efficiency.
In addition, you will ensure compliance with local and national healthcare standards, safety requirements, and infection control guidelines. You will manage capital projects, energy management initiatives, and sustainability programs to optimize energy use while maintaining a comfortable, safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibility
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure reliability and safety of hospital facilities.
- Oversee facilities team and trusted vendors, ensuring workmanship quality, safety compliance, and timely completion of work orders.
- Develop and manage annual facilities budget, procurement, and inventory for parts, tools, and services.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local and national healthcare standards, safety regulations, building codes, and infection control guidelines.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative leadership to ensure facility readiness for daily operations, emergencies, and capital projects.
- Lead energy management initiatives and sustainability programs to optimize utility consumption and reduce operating costs.
- Maintain asset registers, monitor equipment lifecycle, and analyze vendor performance and maintenance metrics.
- Plan and oversee capital improvements and refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hospital or healthcare facilities management;
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; and building automation (BMS/EPMS) experience;
- Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs and using CMMS software;
- Solid understanding of safety, electrical, and building codes, as well as infection control guidelines;
- Proven leadership, vendor management, budgeting, and project management skills;
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
