Glico Wings is seeking a proactive and hands-on Engineering Utility & Building Team Leader to join our growing manufacturing operations in Karawang, West Java. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and optimizing all plant utilities and building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to drive reliability, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement across all utility platforms.
As the leader of the Utilities & Building group, you will own preventive maintenance programs, coordinate capital projects, and supervise daily activities to minimize downtime and maximize plant uptime. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, water treatment, boiler, HVAC, and compressed air systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Your data-driven approach will help identify optimization opportunities, optimize energy consumption, and reduce operating costs.

Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the Utilities and Building team to ensure reliable operation of plant utilities (steam, water, compressed air, electrical systems, HVAC) and building infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all utility and facility systems.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet production demands while minimizing downtime and outages.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations; conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and third-party vendors on projects, upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor energy consumption, utilities cost, and performance KPIs; identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for critical equipment failures.
- Mentor and develop team members, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in utilities and building maintenance within a manufacturing environment; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, control systems, PLCs, HVAC, water treatment, boilers, steam systems, and compressed air.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance planning, CMMS, and root-cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of safety standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA) and environmental compliance; ability to implement safe work practices.
- Project management skills, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; excellent communication and people leadership skills.
- Willingness to work in Karawang and adapt to a manufacturing environment with possible shift coverage.
