Join our growing language services team as a translator, delivering accurate and culturally sensitive translations across English to multiple target languages. This role blends linguistic excellence with a sharp eye for detail to support marketing, product, and corporate communications.
As a translator, you will collaborate with project managers, editors, and localization engineers to ensure terminology consistency and on-time delivery for global campaigns.
Location: Toronto, Canada; this is a full-time role with flexible remote options and in-office collaboration.
Responsibility
- Translate written content from English into target languages with high accuracy and cultural relevance
- Adhere to client style guides, glossaries, and terminology databases
- Review and revise translations for grammar, tone, and consistency
- Prepare and maintain translation memories and glossaries using CAT tools (SDL Trados, memoQ)
- Collaborate with editors and project managers to estimate scope and timelines
- Perform QA checks and resolve linguistic inconsistencies before delivery
- Localize content for regional markets including websites, marketing collateral, and product docs
- Assist with subtitling, transcription, or voiceover scripts as needed
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field; accredited translation certification is a plus
- 3+ years of professional translation experience in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, or Memsource)
- Strong terminology management and glossary development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficient in at least one additional language
- Excellent attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to maintain consistency across large projects
- Experience with localization QA, workflow coordination, and project collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
