Responsibility
- Translate high-quality content from English to Spanish, preserving tone, style, and accuracy across legal, financial, marketing, and technical materials.
- Research industry terminology; maintain and update glossaries to ensure consistency across projects.
- Lead translation projects from kickoff to delivery, coordinating with editors, proofreaders, and localization engineers.
- Edit and proofread translations for accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.
- Adhere to client guidelines and established terminology databases; propose improvements to style guides.
- Assist in estimating timelines, communicating progress, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Perform QA checks and final reviews prior to client submission to meet quality standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional English-to-Spanish translation experience across multiple domains (legal, financial, marketing).
- Native or near-native Spanish speaker with excellent English proficiency.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Memsource) and terminology management.
- Strong research skills, attention to detail, and ability to create and manage glossaries and style guides.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and meeting tight deadlines in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving and time management skills.
