StaffKing Pte Ltd is actively seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Mechatronics Application Engineer to join our growing automation team in the West Region of Singapore. This is a stable, office-based role focused on PLC and HMI applications, ideal for graduates and early-career engineers who want hands-on experience in modern industrial automation.
In this role you will learn and contribute across the full project lifecycle—from concept and design through programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI solutions. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software colleagues to deliver reliable automation systems for our manufacturing clients. You will also help develop technical documentation, test plans, and user manuals, and participate in ongoing improvements to equipment and processes. Responsibility
- Assist in designing, programming, testing, and optimizing PLC and HMI applications for automated equipment.
- Support system integration of control panels, sensors, drives, and networks; troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Participate in site commissioning and on-site start-up activities with guidance from senior engineers.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and operator manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and reduce downtime.
- Assist with calibration, validation, and documentation of automation systems.
- Provide timely technical support to production teams and contribute to root-cause analysis.
- Maintain a strong safety and quality mindset in all project tasks.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of PLC and HMI programming (ladder logic, function blocks, or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of sensors, actuators, drives, and fieldbus networks.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities with an analytical mindset.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow documentation and guidance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced automation environment.
- Proactive, responsible, and safety-conscious with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English with good documentation and reporting skills.
