Join Pcbsi Port Terminal Management Inc as an Environment Safety and Health Engineer (ESH) Assistant and help safeguard people, operations, and the environment across our port facilities in Makati. In this full-time role, you will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of Occupational Safety and Health plans aligned with local regulations and international best practices. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective controls that prevent incidents and injuries.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the development of safety policies, performing regular inspections and audits, supporting permit-to-work and lockout/tagout programs, and coordinating training and communications to raise safety awareness across the organization. You will maintain accurate EHS records, prepare timely reports, and help drive continuous improvement efforts through data analysis and root-cause investigations of any safety incidents. The role also involves supporting emergency response planning, drills, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices by contractors and staff.

You will stay current with Philippine occupational safety laws, environmental regulations, and port-specific requirements. Responsibility
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs across port operations
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Support permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and contractor safety management
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and reporting; prepare safety performance metrics
- Coordinate safety trainings, toolbox talks, drills, and communications
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance to implement corrective actions and preventive controls
- Assist in emergency response planning and readiness; participate in drills
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, DOLE guidelines, and industry standards
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in EHS roles; internship or assistant experience acceptable
- Solid knowledge of Philippine OSH laws, DOLE regulations, and OSHA/ISO 45001 concepts
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with EHS software is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced port environment and handle sensitive information
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30/40, NEBOSH, or local equivalents are advantageous
