GreenTech Environmental Solutions, a leading environmental engineering consultancy, is hiring an Environmental Engineer to join our Portland, OR team. This role focuses on designing and implementing sustainable solutions that protect water quality, air quality, and soil health while delivering compliant, cost-effective projects for public and private clients.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will translate client needs into practical technical solutions and drive project success from concept through construction.
Responsibility
- Lead environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, and permitting workflows for water resources, stormwater, and groundwater projects.
- Prepare CEQA/NEPA documentation and coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals.
- Design and evaluate treatment systems, remediation plans, and containment strategies using state-of-the-art modeling tools.
- Analyze field data, monitor environmental metrics, and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project milestones and budgets are met.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development within the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field; Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of environmental engineering experience in water resources, environmental compliance, or remediation.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (CEQA/NEPA, Clean Water Act, RCRA, SPCC).
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) and data analysis software; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated report-writing ability.
- Project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred or active pursuit.
