TerraNova Environmental Solutions is a leading engineering consultancy delivering sustainable solutions for water, wastewater, and environmental compliance. We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Seattle team and drive projects from concept through execution.
You will lead multi-disciplinary efforts, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients to deliver measurable environmental and economic value while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibility
- Lead design and implementation of environmental engineering projects, including water resources, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management.
- Develop feasibility studies, permitting strategies, and compliance plans.
- Manage client relationships, scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and bid packages for project procurement.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across disciplines and jurisdictions.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations (SEPA/NEPA equivalents in U.S., EPA, WA Dept of Ecology).
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct field investigations, data analysis, and quality assurance activities.
Qualification
- BS in Environmental Engineering or related field; MS preferred; PE license in Washington or ability to obtain.
- 5+ years of professional experience in environmental engineering with emphasis on water/wastewater and stormwater projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS; strong technical writing and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Clean Water Act, WA Dept of Ecology regulations, SEPA).
- Strong project management and client-facing skills; proven ability to lead projects and teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and work in a dynamic, client-centered environment.
