As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technically rigorous solutions across water resources, wastewater treatment, soil and groundwater remediation, air quality, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibility
- Lead project design and optimization of environmental systems including water and wastewater treatment, air quality controls, and soil remediation.
- Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and data collection to support environmental decisions.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and design drawings with accuracy and clarity.
- Coordinate regulatory permitting and liaise with agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental agencies).
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and risk management to ensure on-time delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors.
- Support sustainability initiatives and life-cycle assessments for client projects.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in environmental engineering, with emphasis on water resources or wastewater treatment.
- Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA, GIS, hydraulics, hydrology, and regulatory permitting.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MATLAB) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience writing technical reports and presenting to clients.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or demonstrated path to licensure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
