Responsibility
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from scope to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses, stormwater design, and water/wastewater treatment evaluations.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs, feasibility studies, and risk assessments in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit permits (e.g., NPDES, SPCC, SEPA) and manage agency communications.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams including geotechnical, civil, and ecological engineers, scientists, and clients.
- Support business development through technical proposals, client presentations, and cost estimating.
- Conduct field investigations, data collection, and site assessments as required.
- Mentor junior staff and review technical work for accuracy and compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental engineering, water resources, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, Clean Water Act, SEPA/NEPA as applicable) and permit processes.
- Proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, GIS, hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM) and CAD/BEM software.
- Experience with field investigations, data analysis, and report writing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or eligible for licensure in Washington.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
