Join Lonza as a Facilities Maintenance Manager at our site in Kembangan, East Region, Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team responsible for keeping the facility safe, reliable, and fully operational. You will own the preventive and predictive maintenance program for critical infrastructure, utilities, and building services, collaborating closely with operations to maximize uptime and drive continuous improvement across the site.
As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and quality standards such as GMP are upheld at all times. You will balance people leadership with hands-on troubleshooting, project management, and budget stewardship. Key responsibilities include leading inspections, managing the CMMS for work orders, developing maintenance strategies, and coordinating with external vendors to deliver reliable services. Responsibility
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance for facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management
- Manage CMMS and maintenance scheduling to maximize uptime and minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and local regulations through audits and corrective actions
- Oversee facility projects, capital improvements, and vendor management within approved budgets
- Monitor utility performance, energy efficiency, and asset lifecycle to reduce operating costs
- Conduct root cause analysis for facility-related incidents and implement lasting corrective actions
- Develop and mentor a high-performing facilities team, including training and performance reviews
- Collaborate with operations to support production schedules and site reliability
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance management experience in manufacturing or biotech/pharma environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, and building management
- Experience with CMMS (Maximo, SAP PM) and strong project management skills
- Familiarity with GMP, EHS and regulatory requirements and audits
- Proven leadership, budgeting, and vendor management capabilities
- Professional certifications in facilities management (FM, PMP, LEED) are a plus
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
