StaffKing Pte Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer specialized in automation, PLC and system integration to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will provide on-site support for our clients across multiple sites in the North Region, North-East, and East areas. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC-based automation systems, drives, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and related electrical equipment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical skills with a strong service mindset and excellent communication to ensure minimal downtime and sustained production performance.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver reliable automation solutions, calibrate equipment, program PLCs, and implement system integrations that meet project specifications. You will document service activities, prepare reports, and recommend spare parts and upgrades. This is a full-time role with a 5-day work week and opportunities for professional development and cross-site exposure. Willingness to travel between sites and to support multiple locations is essential.

Responsibility
- Install, commission and service PLC-based automation systems across multiple customer sites within the North Region.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on PLCs, drives, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and field devices to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and upgrades on automation equipment and sensors.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define technical requirements and ensure timely project delivery.
- Document service activities, generate comprehensive reports, and recommend spare parts and improvements.
- Provide on-site training and knowledge transfer to operators and maintenance staff.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards, including site risk assessments.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation/Control Systems.
- Proven field service experience with PLC-based automation projects and system integration.
- Strong PLC programming knowledge (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000, Mitsubishi).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA, drives (VFDs), sensors, and electrical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage on-site schedules, and travel between sites within the region.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel; adherence to safety and quality standards.
