Join Lumina Arts Gallery, a premier contemporary fine arts venue in New York, as our Programs Coordinator. You will collaborate with curators, artists, educators, and partner institutions to conceive and implement inspiring exhibitions, education programs, and public engagement initiatives that connect audiences with exceptional works of art.

You will help shape the gallery's calendar, coordinate artist talks, tours, workshops, and community outreach, and support operations from research to installation. This role blends curatorial insight with program management and community-facing impact.

Responsibility

  • Collaborate with curators to research and develop exhibition concepts and installation plans.
  • Coordinate all aspects of exhibitions, including scheduling, logistics, insurance, and handling requirements.
  • Manage artist relations, contracts, loan documentation, and track deadlines and budgets.
  • Plan and execute public programs such as artist talks, tours, workshops, and education events.
  • Support marketing and communications with event details, guest lists, and press materials.
  • Oversee on-site operations during openings and programming, ensuring safety and accessibility.
  • Assist with grant writing, reporting, and fundraising initiatives to support exhibitions and education.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, Museum Studies, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in gallery, museum, or arts programming.
  • Strong understanding of art handling, conservation, and loan procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management with proven ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with gallery CRM, collection management, and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
